What is Qigong?

The word "Qigong" (Chi Kung) is a combination of two concepts:

Qi (pronounced "Chee") is air, breath, or the vital energy or life-force that flows through all things in the universe;

Gong (pronounced "Gung") is skill or achievement that is the result of dedicated and disciplined practice.

About Medical Qigong

Medical Qigong (Chinese Energetic Medicine) is the oldest branch of Chinese Medicine. It is a comprehensive system of health care that treats the client as a whole, and addresses the root cause of "dis-ease", rather than merely treating the symptoms. It works on a person's physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels, and is highly effective at treating a wide range of conditions.

Through dedicated study and self-cultivation the Medical Qigong practitioner develops the ability to sense and manipulate energy.
